Promises

I was a stepmom while married. Love my kids with all my heart. When we separated, I was never able to see them again, but more importantly, they did not get any closure. They do not know I love them always, and never wanted to leave them. Ex husband promised to let me stay in touch. He won’t even let me give them closure. He doesn’t care or realize the damage this can do to the psyche in regards to attachment issues. 😢

Came across some voicemails from my oldest daughter. 3, saying “I love you Mommy, miss you, when are you coming back.” My heart…. 💔
